New Summer Wars Trailer Thing

It’s like DBZ, but with furries!

Here is a new “trailer” to the new summer blockbuster film Summer Wars by Mamoru Hosoda. Affenheimtheater reports that this isn’t really a trailer, but more like a music video. Supposedly, the retail chain Tsutaya has been handing out DVDs that have the first nine minutes of the film on them, but no one has been brave enough to post it on the internet.

So Summer Wars is about a family’s adventure with a bizarre world called Oz (yeah, how original). The 90-year-old grandmother forces the family to work together so that they can save mankind. And from the looks of this music video, it appears as if saving the world involves turning into a furry. This looks kind of weird, but in a very good way I have to admit. This movie will hit Japanese theaters August 1.

It sure looks good for something with such a crappy concept.

Dig Deeper into Summer Wars

Summer Wars is a movie of Kenji Koiso who's hired to play the fiancee of Natsuki Shinohara for her family reunion when his OZ account is hacked and shuts down the program all Japan depends on to function. Kenji must fix this with the help and support of Natsuki's family.
