New Fate/Stay Night Movie Trailer Surfaces

No joysticks necessary

From what I know of Fate/Stay Night, I really dig it. Granted, I'm not much for technical fighters, so i'm pretty stoked at more animated features coming our way. Yes, everyone can abandon their twiddly sticks and pull up some popcorn for the next animated film, titled Fate/Stay Night - Unlimited Blade Works.

I won't pretend to know much about the series,, but this teaser trailer looks pretty cool. The film will have a theatrical release January 23rd, so more Fate/Stay Night really isn't that far away.

I'm looking forward to it it's just unfortunately that a lot of content will be cut to make this 90minute movie happen. You see in the game this route lasts 13+ hours and has an elaborate plot that the movie will have to rush through with not much time to build it up. The trick will be making the movie not seemed rushed and to pace it right but even so it's going to feel strange to people have played the visual novel with the content that will be left behind.

This isn't a sequel is it? I hope not. There are parts that I don't remember in the anime, but maybe that's because I have the memory of a gold fish! XD I wonder if it'll be good.... I hope so!

I find it amusing that among fans of the series the main question of this movie hasn't been so much "Will it be good?", but rather "Will it pack in enough of UBW's awesomeness into 90 minutes to do the original route justice?".

@Superevil225:
The original Fate/Stay Night visual novel that the anime was based off of is comprised of three routes called Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel. The Fate route is what the anime followed the closest and showcases the relationship between Saber and Shirou. Overall the Fate route is good, but very very few consider it the strongest/coolest/best route of F/SN. Unlimited Blade Works has Shirou going after Rin instead, and generally the route just BLEEDS GAR all the way through with many more intense fight scenes than Fate, and just general acts of badassery of the next level.

I think I'm gonna like this more than the anime series. The anime series wasn't that great and the ending was kinda of dull...it was also longer than it probably should have been, so I'm guessing a shorter movie storyline will have more action and interesting events.

@everyone The fate/stay night visual novel is 100 times better(I'm not exaggerating much) than the anime that only followed one route. This movie won't change that though I expect it to be entertaining to people who have completed the route in the PC visual novel game especially.
