New Expo Guest: Yasuhiro Nightow, Other Trigun Guests

Expo to have a Trigunathon. A...Trigunonanza? A Trigunapalooza!

Anime Expo has issued a press release announcing that Trigun creator Yasuhiro Nightow will be a guest of honor, as well as Trigun movie director Satoshi Nishimura.

Before you go all “Trigun movie?!” on me, this is presumably the same film that was advertised as being an animated Vash vs Wolfwood tale back in February '08, and it's awesome to see that the project has really been moving forward.

Also attending are Shigeru Kitayama, the producer of Trigun, and Noriyuki Jinguji, the mech designer for the show. So it's this massive Trigun reunion, doubtless to promote the upcoming movie, which is actually still due out this year (as was announced in the aforementioned February ad), in spite of there being almost no word about it until now.

So, wow. I guess we really can expect the movie to come out! That's pretty cool. Are you excited for the movie?
