Yes, Naruto is going to get a live-action adaption, but it isn’t what you are thinking. Naruto is getting a live-action stage show at Universal Studios Japan; but it’s a live-action adaption nevertheless. From the 18th of July to the 31st of August, this show will take place daily, that's a total of 40 stage shows; enough Sasuke to make even the most GARist man shed an emo tear.

According to Akibanana, this will feature interactions between the stage show and the actual anime itself. I’m not sure how that exactly works, but it will feature all the jitsu action we all know and love. Also, there will be four different types of fans to collect, so you have to go more than once. If that wasn’t enough, there will also be popcorn packets with super cool (I assume) Naruto illustrations.

Naruto is super popular in America, why not bring the show over here as well? It wouldn’t be too hard to pull off, though it will also be hard not to make it look like one of those cosplay group photo shoots found at cons. Who’s flying out to Japan to see this? Anyone?

Maybe they'll pull off the interaction part by making it a stage show about a group making a Naruto stage show and they need help from the actual characters

F*ck Naruto it's extremely stupid and will now get a joke of an adaption that fits right in with the show.

Oh, a stage show. Thank god. I was worried for a moment. I actually support stage shows. I like watching the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider stage shows on YouTube. The one worry I would have with it coming to America is that I've also seen on YouTube the Power Ranger stage show at Disneyland, and it sucked. Just some car with rangers, it stops so they get out and wave and shake hands, and then they leave. If the Naruto stage show come to the states, I hope it would get as much effort as in Japan.

Naruto looks like a frakkin' idiot; perfect casting.

And Tsunade's looking, uh, pretty rough there. Guess the exhibitors nixed the gravure idol auditions huh? Too bad.

Don't you mean they mixed up the JAV audition and stage show casting for Tsunade and friends?

I'm a big Naruto fan but all I can say is, WTF.

Does this mean you get to see them run around like idiots and doing a million hand signs for jutsu and magically changing into wooden blocks?  What about Naruto's kage bunshin no jutsu?
