It's about time that we finally got some rather intense action in this action-based shonen series. If I try to put out of my mind how ridiculously outclassed this match up should be, it can be a pretty enjoyable read. Just shut off the logic centers of your brain, and think of this as two evenly matched dudes duking it out. Then you'll actually have some fun here.
Events get so frantic at one point that it was a bit hard to follow what was going on in this fight as the others start jumping in. It gets better upon a second read through.
There's a fine line between bravery and stupidity, and Guy didn't just cross that line. He vaulted over it. Sacrifice in the place of no other option is an act of courage. Getting yourself killed for the sake of proving something is idiotic. I would love to be moved by what Guy is trying to do, but I just can't get over how unnecessary it is in this case.
All they needed was taijutsu to hold off Madara for a while, and they have at least two strategic geniuses among them. I just don't see why Guy and Lee didn't tag team using a Gate just under the suicide level. What are they stopping Madara from trying to do at this point? Obito already made it into that kamui dimension.
This was noticeably better than what we've been seeing these past few weeks out of NARUTO, but only in the fact that we finally got some action after a few weeks of people talking amongst themselves in the midst of urgent situations. Although, you know what that means? It means we're likely to have another two weeks of talking following this chapter. I really hope I'm wrong here, and the fast pace will be sustained.
