I think pretty much everyone who watched
Fumiko no Kokuhaku liked it, but let's see if the same holds true for a very different sort of indie anime. Spotted by
AICN Anime's Scott Green at SWFBlog (I don't know how I missed it myself!), the short revolves around a mouse stealing cheese...at least until it meets the most beautiful cheese in the world. It's called "Koi Suru Nezumi" (Love Mouse).
The anime is oddly enough voiced in English, by what sounds like a computer-generated voice. It's not quite the same level of charming as Fumiko, and certainly a lot less slapstick-- but it can be pretty amusing in that sort of "really awkward moments on The Office" kind of way.
Thoughts?
I mean, come on, what about The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour?!
I like the speak and spell voicework it had this all your base are belong to us vibe to it that did fit it in that akward kind of funny way.
@MoonStorm: I suppose that's entirely up to your interpretation ;)
@constanzadellarosa: That's a good point about how European it is, since it may explain both the use of the English language and also the intro, which is given in romanized Japanese, English, and French. :)
But man, that is some philosophical cheese.
The grammatical errors in translation though wouldn't come from French. Unless it's from some crazy weird dialect from some weird mix with another language not even closely related.
Although based on the the title it makes it even weirder since it seems to be Standard (Parisian) French. It could also be they are using more formal language because it's the title.
