AnimeNation reports that MIT is hosting a free public screening of the 2009 anime film by the director of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time on March 1st, and that Hosoda himself will be there to take part in a Q&A panel after the screening. That's the second time I've wanted to go to Boston in the last few days! ( Here's the first.)
Which sounds very awesome, and I really wish I could go. I know we have a few Bostonians around the site-- any of you free to make it? And for those of us who can't: what would you ask Hosoda, given the opportunity? I'm curious as to which one he enjoyed more, creating an anime based on a new original work (as in Summer Wars), or starting with a beloved novel and creating a story within its universe (as with Girl Who Leapt Through Time).

I'm not very good at being evil ^^
I want photos of Hosoda-sensei.
