Mailbag o'Vice: 10-27-09

Check out what's in my mail bag this week!

I don't know if I'll start doing this kind of thing regularly-- my mail is a bit sporadic --but I came into the office this morning to find a big stack of stuff to check out. I'm not quite sure where I should begin, so I thought I'd poke you guys and see what you're interested in.

If you can't check out the video, the five items I got are: Kodansha's first volumes of Akira and Ghost in the Shell, the Official xxxHOLiC Guide and the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Guide 2 from Del Rey, and a very fancy copy of Fairytale Fights, which you may remember from NYAF.

Do a review of Ghost in the Shell manga.   I don't know if I'm right or not, but wasn't Akira manga when it first came out licensed by  Marvel in the united states.

Either one of the guys might be cool

I would love to see a review of the Ghost in the Shell manga.  I've never read any of the Ghost in the Shell mangas so, it would be nice hear how good they are.

@N15PCA: Yup-- well, Marvel division Epic Comics, anyway. I get the feeling it'd be sort of the equivalent of Vertigo publishing something, it's still technically DC, but kinda different. They also colorized it :)

@gia: If you don't do a video review of Ghost in the Shell I'll never forgive you :(

@FLStyle: Whoa! Duly noted!

Akira manga over Ghost in the Shell manga for review request because I have less experience with that franchise and would like to hear another opinion on it.

Also, see if the xxxHolic and Tsubasa guides cross-reference each other, given the crossovers between the series in each's storylines.

I'm jealous. I want that XXXHolic guide. That Tsubasa guide 2 is much nicer than the first. It comes with color images (not like you can't find them in the artbook though, but still nice) and is a little more detailed. I know it goes into the details of my favorite world Infinity.

Dig Deeper into Tsubasa Chronicle

A revised version of the main characters of Cardcaptor Sakura join with some new characters in a new worldsetting, where they traipse around various universes featuring different versions of characters from other CLAMP series.
