Lucky Star Uniforms To Appear In Real Life Schools?

This just might go down.

So what is a prefecture to do when it needs more tourism, but has nothing that would interest normal everyday people? Attract otaku of course! The Japanese prefecture of Saitama’s Anime Tourism Investigative Commission put their minds together to try to figure out ways of attracting more otaku into their lands. One man said “Why not change the local school uniforms into Lucky Star uniforms?” and everyone applauded (I would guess.)

This is no surprise seeing how this prefecture has become the number one vacation spot for Lucky Star fans. It is the spot of the famous Washinomiya shrine that drew 420,000 visitors this New Year. But is this the kind of tourism they want? Do they really want to attract loads of otaku who will hide in the bushes and stare at all the school children in their Lucky Star uniforms?

Regardless, I’m down for the Lucky Star uniforms. But if you are open to more ideas, committee members of the Saitama Anime Tourism Investigative Commission, I would suggest Dragon Ball gi, NERV uniforms, Zeon uniforms, or generic ninja costumes.

Ok, that's kinda wired. Generally think school uniforms are a bad idea. I just feel sorry for the students who have to where them now. There not going to see any of the money form the tourism. They are just being used.

Uniforms are a good thing. You can't see if anybody is socialy on the low or high side. Pupils can be individual in their free time.

As awesome as I think that would be, the inevitable ramifications of the sickos dressed in ghilly suits doing photography would probably decimate it.

Sounds like a baaad idea.  Putting kids on display to bring in tourism seems just wrong.

I think school uniforms are a good thing. I think using school uniforms to attract creepers is a very, very bad thing. It isn't fair to the girls to be used as some kind of perverted tourist attraction.

@Gintamen: See that's what I don't get. @Sigue: You too.
I don't see how uniforms hiding this can be good. First it a waste of money. your could use that money to buy other close that you would where other than school. That fact that it hides your status is utter bull, there are plenty of way to figure that out buy your lunch where you live, the people you hang out with.

If the school is benefiting from the uniforms I think it's a pretty cool idea... I mean, they have to wear uniforms anyway, why not make them something that'll get more monies into the school?
Gintamenon June 30, 2009 at 11:45 a.m.
@MoonStorm: I'm very sorry for you, since you seem to be in a place where social groups are seperated through space... or your circle of friends... . I don't live in a cliched like you and people did never decide on my status by looking at my food. Homemade food does not show you status.
MoonStormon June 30, 2009 at 3:36 p.m.
@Gintamen:  Not really... I just saying wearing a uniform is not going to hide your class. Just by observation you can tell where a person comes form and a uniforms dose nothing to hide this.

Hell yes! Too bad I got out of high school last year, now I'll have to hide behind the bushes to take pictures -_-'
