Live-Action MW Trailer Online

One of Osamu Tezuka's darkest works will be hitting theaters soon.

MW, Osamu Tezuka's dark psychological thriller manga, has been in the process of getting a movie made for a while now, and at long last, a full trailer appears!

The book is about a young man named Michio Yuki, who survives an accidental leak of a secret American-made chemical weapon called MW (pronounced “mu,” if I recall correctly), but becomes something like the embodiment of evil. The story is told from the viewpoint of a priest named Father Garai, who becomes Michio's lover (yes, homosexuality appeared in manga even back then, although this is definitely no sweet and simple yaoi).

All in all it should make for a pretty interesting movie. If you haven't, you should pick up the manga, which Vertical released back in 2007.

MW is one of Tesuka's amazing works. Treated the issue in the only matter that should have ever been treated, not as a sexual hang up or aspects of sexual perfidy - but a very sad, real and deep scientific look into the matter. If you read Apollo's Song along with MW - you would see a lot of things that has come true in the western world and why many of the Marriages that exist now - are all based on Sex and nothing with substance - and it does explain the large hang ups we have and the coniquences dealing with it.
