Live-Action Gundam?

Or is it live-action Jin-Roh?

Alright, so PROJECT: ARBITER isn’t exactly a live-action Gundam set in World War II, but it’s pretty close. Witness the trailer yourself. Thanks to IO9 for bringing this up.

From Jin-Roh. Looks similiar, don't you think?

Pretty exciting stuff.  Too bad they cut before the armored guy totally wrecks that panzer tank. Anyway, after checking the thing out, I’d say the whole thing’s a lot closer to Mamoru Oshii’s Kerberos Saga. My favorite entry in the series was JIN-ROH: THE WOLF BRIGADE, which was about an armored police platoon in an alternate-reality Japan that had once been occupied by the Nazis. There definitely is more similarity between those armor designs and the ones in the trailer above.

 Casshern in the flesh.
Casshern in the flesh.

For better or worse, there have been a few live-action adaptations of anime, running the gamut from Dragonball to Speed Racer to Casshern. James Cameron’s been saying for years that he wants to follow-up Avatar with an adaptation of Battle Angel Alita that would use the same motion capture and 3D technology. What do you think, oh real-life Anime Vice community? What anime would you like to see in live action? And what live-screen adaptations which you do anything to forget?

So it's Captain Americas origin story, only instead of the super soldier juice he gets a power suit like Iron Man. Ether way it looks cool, i hope i can remember it exists when it is released.

Cashern was awesome, and Devil Man too...
Some live action are pretty good...
Others Hilarious like the one of Prince of Tennis....
And others makes you think on bombing Fox...

@crusader8463: You're probably going to have to wait a long time.  Getting finances together is a tough ant hill to scale.

Indeed, perhaps we will get lucky and some fan (preferably me) wins the lotto and can afford to donate all the money they need to get it made.

Now that's a lot better.

The video reminded me of the badass intro sequence to Ace combat: the belkan war

Ok maybe not alot of similarities, but I'm saying that the video would work as a pretty cool videogame intro.

From what little we see of it in that video, I'm not seeing much similarity between the armor there and the Kerberos protect gear.

I wish these dudes having the money James Camerons used for is blue-pocahontas (a.k.a Avatar), the difference it's that this rocks, and it'll be well-used

@cfatalis: I think it's clear it's in the zeitgeist. If only if this were rotoscoped to look cell shaded too...

@Tom_Pinchuk: zeitgeist?

Wait, so its "not" in production, this is just them teasing about how we should give them the money to make this movie? Hmm... I dunno about that.
