MTV's Splashpage reports that Joseph Gordon-Levitt-- has said absolutely nothing remotely of interest about the Hollywood live-action Akira film , which he was rumored to be starring in way back when.
This, of course, comes in the wake of word that the project is completely dead, and MTV is excited because when rumors of Gordon-Levitt's involvement came out last year, he was completely reticent about acknowledging any involvement, whereas now he's saying “you never know” in response to questions about the film.
Frankly, I think this is sort of clinging to a very thin thread, but hey, if you were excited for live-action Akira, maybe this is as good an excuse as any to celebrate future possibilities.
