Lap Dancers and Hackers: Yahoo! Asia is Awesome!

Strippers and hackers, what could be better? Among some of their more fun idea, Yahoo! hosts events know as Hack Days. Open forum events meant to give a friendly environment for programmers to share ideas. Of course, these events are held globally and must tailor their approach to meet the demands of the culture. Apparently, Taiwan's Hack Day was laden with lap dancers... seriously.
 
As with most stories involving Asian strippers, things were anything but simple. Rightfully so, many facets of the tech sector were offended by his. One of my favorites was...

Thanks Yahoo Taiwan for taking down the tech community several more notches. 2009 has been a banner year for sexist behavior in the tech community and this event is a prime example. Interesting to note that this sunny, upbeat recap does't bother to mention the strippers and lap dances. Is it somehow supposed to make it "ok" because this Hack Day was in Taiwan and they just have "cultural differences" to the rest of us? Were there some "Hack Boys" to entertain the handful of female programmers who showed up? 
 
Thanks for sending the signal that women are just fine at tech events so long as they are scantily clad and know how to dance... on a man's lap.

@cfatalis: Taiwan dude Taiwan and if anything those guys are to easily pleased!! if i where a hackers on that festival i would pressure them in to getting Rainie Yang over there to do a lap dance for me :P (otherwise i will hack they`re personal files and delete everything mwahahahaha)

@John_Martone: funny when I first saw that story I missed that it was in Taiwan.... I thought it was here in San Jose, which would have made this story even more hilarious.   Someone would have lost their job if this was here in the states.    
 
BTW, some of these ladies are very cute.

yeah i would take both, it's rather more like a skit rather than the main plot, she never trusted wikia
