Actor Kim Nam Gil, who is playing the lead in a drama called Queen Son Duk-- about a young girl who becomes her country's first queen  --recently talked about the inspirations for his character, Bidam.

The character is one of those nice guys with a sword who can flip out and kill hundreds given the correct circumstances-- and Nam Gil has reportedly been studying Takehiko Inoue's Vagabond-- and specifically the character Miyamoto Musashi --as well as the manhwa The Ruler of the Land and is lead, Han Bi Kwang.
