Obviously I'm not going to share any illicit files here, especially spoilers (not that many of us could read them in their native Japanese), but the animation is just too cool for me to pass up on this OP.
The song itself doesn't do a lot for me, but man, the visual style is so cool.
By the way, this inspired me to check in on the Katanagatari official site. Some of you may remember the distinct lack of a voice cast back when I posted the winter 2010 anime preview, but there's one listed now.
- Shichika Yasuri: Yoshimasa Hosoya (Denpa Teki na Kanojo's Juu Juuzawa)
- Togame: Yukari Tamura (Higurashi's Rika, Pita Ten's Misha)
- Nanami Yasuri: Mai Nakahara (My-HiME's Mai, Higurashi's Rena, CLANNAD's Nagisa)
- Koumori Maniwa: Chihiro Suzuki (Prince of Tennis' Akira)
- Narrator: Masako Ikeda (Galaxy Express 999's Maetel, Ranma 1/2's Nodoka Saotome)
So there you go: voices! And an interesting set; Shichika is voiced by a relative n00b, with a mix of newer and older school seiyuu. Definitely looking forward to it. *eyes Crunchyroll hopefully*

Also
@ Mr_E: that is the actual song for it, "Meiya Kadenrou" sung by Minami Kuribayashi.

It's the kind of chanting / traditional sounding thing...
I just watched the 1st episode of Katanagatari. worth a look just for the art. I'm all about period slice of life ... when slice of life is looking for 12 missing mystical swords of a master.
