I don't usually do a lot of these sorts of posts, but I'm REALLY excited about the upcoming Kaichou wa Maid-sama anime, and the drama CD has some really phenomenal talent-- most notably Tomokazu "Kyon" Sugita as male lead Usui --so I've wanted to know if he would take on the role in the anime as well.

Well, word just came out on Natalie.mu, and unfortunately no Sugita. Usui will be played by Nobuhiko Okamoto, who played Shin in Persona -trinity soul- and is currently playing Luke in The Sacred Blacksmith. I'm a little disappointed there, but let's see the rest of the cast:

Reluctant heroine Misaki Ayukawa will be voiced by Ayumi Fujimura ( Nabari no Ou's Raimei, Kaze no Stigma's Ayano Kannagi, Tegami Bachi's Niche). On the drama CD it was Sanae Kobayashi ( D.Gray-Man's Allen Walker). I've liked pretty much every role that I've heard Fujimura play, so I can't really complain here.

Joining them are Aki Toyosaki (The Sacred Blackmith's Lisa) as maid cafe owner Satsuki (voiced by Rie "Chii" Tanaka on the drama CD) and newcomer Hiromi Igarashi as Satsuki's relative Aoi, originally voiced by Yuki Kaida.

I think this'll be a fine cast, but I still wish we coulda gotten Sugita as Usui though. I wonder if he's too busy with Haruhi stuff?
