K-On! Second Season to Air This Spring

It's official!

Word over at Anime Maker Sendenman blog is that at a K-On! event today (read: yesterday), the second season's air schedule was announced, and that the second season of the goofy girl-band comedy will be airing this very April on TBS (...that's the TOKYO Broadcasting System, not Turner), and fans were encouraged to keep on truckin' (by which they meant, keep boosting K-On!'s ratings and buying its merch/DVDs/Blu-Rays/etc).

The news has also been confirmed on the official K-On! site.

How many of you are looking forward to the second season of K-On!? How many of you are looking forward to the FIRST season when someone finally licenses it? Hm, I kinda wonder WHO will license it, come to think of it...

K-ON is one of those shows I don't want to see. 'Cause I know that if I did watch it I would probably like it.

Soooo, Your a masochist? You only watch shows you think you wont like?

Never survived watching the first season. Don't plan on seeing this one.

Looking forward to more musical moe blobs. If it does get licensed, I think it would be Bandai since they've licensed KyoAni's previous big hits, Haruhi and Lucky Star.

@FoxxFireArt: Why yes I am a machosist, but that's a totally unrelated matter. What I meant was that watching K-On would most likely be a guilty pleasure, I've heard it's a rather aimless, moeblob kind of show. Which I was somehow ok with when it was called Lucky Star.

Nowadays, I've got better things to do. None of which I'm actually doing at the moment.

meh.

As long as they keep it short like the first season I can see myself devouring season 2 in one night.  I like to watch my anime that way.

@RockmanBionics: It's most definitely a guilty pleasure and aimless, but I implore you to give it a try.  It is rather short (12 eps I believe).  And I had the weird reaction of enjoying it, but having no motivation to ever watch it again, that would be pointless.

I enjoyed the first season so I will end up watching this one as well.

Didn't really like the first season and will pass on the second. Bland characters are bland.

Yeah, not for me.

Oh that's cool for those who liked it I guess.

I... fail to see the logic here. Just watch it, it's popular for a reason :)

Screw getting it licensed, I'm pretty sure I would hate it in english, especially after watching it all in Japanese beforehand.

@Newten: Not to sound like a pretentious jerk, but I'm gonna go ahead and sound like a pretentious jerk and say it doesn't surprise me that you don't.

Thinly veiled passive agressiveness aside, I elaborated slightly on my feelings for the show a few comments later.
