Well, "sexy" might be jumping the gun a little, but Pink Tentacle
spotted this recent video of a new robot called Geminoid F, a "female" robot whose appearance was based on an actual woman in her twenties (I don't believe it's someone famous). Apparently the android is supposed to duplicate the facial expressions and speech of whoever's running it in the background-- think of it as an avatar, but less...blue. And less tall. And less cat-like. And considerably less smooth-moving.
Yes, robots still have a way to go before they really completely mimic human movement, but they're starting to get at least as realistic as the better caliber of Dutch Wife. And we all know that's where we're going with this, right?
(On a more serious note, I just finished Pluto
last night, and an unfortunate side effect is that I find myself looking forward to realistic robots. Uh-oh!)
