Sure, we've given you plenty of things to watch today, but... As a huge fan of 90's X-Men: The Animated Series, I was tickled pink when Rob over at Topless Robot featured this. The Japanese opening to the English series, and whoa, it sure does look a little different. I really, really like the vibe (obviously,) but I'll leave the cute observations to Rob though.
Things to note:
• Magento apparently in charge of the Brood
• Jean Grey, Storm and Jubillee's powers boiled down to doing Kamehamehas
• Cable and Gambit fighting random mecha
• An awesome shot of Rogue, Storm and Professor X looking like the world's biggest pimp
• Beast pulling a Hulk move
• Wolverine and Omega Red flying through the air
i found that to be very disturbing
Hmm... it is silly, because it would never happen, but I guess there are a number of ways it could.
The brood are a species bent on sadistically (because they really enjoy it) reproducing via violently implanting eggs in hosts. The host essentially dies, but in a way is co-opted/becomes the new broodling.
The problems with Magneto commanding them.
The race as a whole (via its empress) is capable of making deals, but that would be for like, directions to a solar system to save a single planet... Not so much on the personal squabbles.
Even if Magneto figured out some science-magic to magnetically herd them, they would kinda totally just be "brooding" particular locations/cities. Totally a pandoras box thing.
Magneto doesn't tend to endorse cruel, wild acts of genocide. Using the brood would be akin to him using an army of actual "zombies," in which every person killed not only has their entire existence perversely twisted and used to perform atrocities.
The most probably and totally explainable way Magneto would have command over the Brood is if he was infected with a queens egg. Thus, he is leading them in a savage assault to murder and proliferate, and is thus no longer magneto.
Who says that Magneto has control over the Brood? Maybe he just rattled them up and got them to attack the X-men. As great as the American X-men opening was for me, I wish they used this one. Prof. X looks like he's a straight up fucking pimp! I don't know why they acted like Beast was like Avalanche.

Wonder how much they changed the dialogue they changed in the Japanese dubbed version of the X-men, i mean the song is horrible just imagine how wrong the dialogue is XD
Think so but i don`t really care any more, they are now gathering dust in the attic and by the time i see them again i`ll throw them away (since i would already bought the dvd version of the remastered 2010 version)
