The news comes from Japanese blog Cyzo Woman (Japanese language page), which says that studios finds the CG technology advanced enough now to do justice to the source material. While I agree that the tech infrastructure is there for the film, I believe it was actually in place several years ago, making me wonder if this is really the reason studios have waited this long to propose a live-action film. You know what, I'm not going to get to cynical on this one and just be happy that this might be materializing now. While I don't think a movie at this late stage of the game would advance the broader story of Kenshin I do know that samurai period films are awesome and fans of the genre should all be rooting for this to be made.

This could be awesome. Wonder how the villianin all the bandages will turn out, what was his name again, shishio?
J-Dramas do aright side better then Hollywood in the live action department. Seems odd that they had to wait for technology for this series. At the heard of the story it's a samurai drama. I'm sure it could help for scenes, but I think they could of produced a decent movie version of the series without it. It was nearly ten years ago they were making the Star Wars prequels.
I kinda liked Casshern Live action, it was cool...
It had some major plot holes but it was cool...
