Information on PSP Manga

Unfortunately, its still in Japanese



 
December 10th: This is the day that the motherland can starts throwing out their bulky books and starts squinting at screens... at least when it comes to manga.

Pricing and publishers
Individual chapters: ¥50-150 ($0.55-$1.70)
Full books:  ¥420 ($4.70) 
Involved Publishers: Ascii Mediaworks, Enterbrain, Kadokawa Shoten, Kodansha, Shueisha, Shogakkan, Square Enix, Softbank Creative, Bandai Visual, Bunkasha, Futabasha, Fujimi Shobo, and Hakusensha.
Announced titles (so far):  Fullmetal Alchemist, Neon Genesis Evangelion, One Piece, Soul Eater, and Dragon Quest Saga.
 
And there you have it. The update to enable the service is already live, the world's just waiting on the content. Oh yeah, and if you like comics... or something, go check out here for information about the PSP comics here.

I hope this stuff comes to other countries.  I couldn't care less about the comics coming to the US.

I would gladly drop the money, especially for series like soul eater and full metal, but it needs to be in english...
 
So if they put it in the US store they'll need to go through the US distributors of those manga, like Yen Press and TokyoPop. Which is not bad if they are game, but it will just be more complicated.
 
Buuuuuttttttt, if for some reason Japan English-ificated their own manga... and we all just got Japanese PSN accounts (which is fairly easy to do,) we'll be in business.`

If I'm going to to buy a PSP Go I'll need more than 16 GB of space in order to download all the manga I want.
 
It's only going to be matter of time before you can download manga from websites like Manga Fox on to you PSP Go.
