Imagi Moves On From Astro Boy to Tetsujin 28?

A new CG anime film, before we even get to see how Astro Boy does? Hm.

Tetsujin 28
Tetsujin 28
Hong Kong-based CG studio Imagi seems to be rummaging through Japan's pop culture history books to find new film fodder: they've opened up a new website for a CG film based on Tetsujin 28, Giant Robo creator Mitsuteru Yokoyama's 1956 mech manga, which includes a trailer for said film.

ICv2 notes that this doesn't mean that Imagi is definitely going to make such a film, especially since they ask for feedback about whether we, the audience, want such a film-- but it certainly means that they're considering it. Check it out and give them your vote. (And share it here, too, if you so please!)

When I was a kid, a local TV station broadcasted Tetsujin 28. I remember that I loved it...
I'm not sure if I would like to watch a cg film version...

IMAGI can float as many ideas as they want, but they won't amount to jack unless they get their current projects funded.
