Higanjima, the supernatural horror manga from Kouji Matsumoto is apparently seeing a live action adaptation. Usually these affairs are usually a mixed bag of translating themes and effects possible on page yet not screen, but it seems like this one could really work out. The slightly creepy trailer has my interest perked. Plus, its something to watch with vampires that isn't Twilight...

The movie comes out January 9th, so expect some more media on it by then.

I liked Vampire Princess Miyu and though It's not the same kind of story, I would give this film a chance. The Japanese really know how to scare the hell out of you.
