First Canaan appears on the Comic-Con schedule, then the ASOS Brigade-- Bandai Entertainment's viral campaign for the original Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime –is reactivated. Is a license of the second season nigh? (Thanks for the tip, themp3000!)
I don't know, but there are hints embedded into the ASOS site:
<!-- Aren't you done packing yet?! You've got to go soon! --><!-- You're not leaving me behind this time. --><!-- Slow!!! You are SLOW SLOW SLOW!!!!!! --><!-- Does she treat everyone this badly, or did I win some cosmic fail lottery? -->
There are also even more hints embedded in the code on Bandai's website. Here are the last round I reported on, and what follows is what's currently on the site as of 10am today:
<!-- A tale of two lords -->
<!-- One dark yet giving -->
<!-- The other fallen and realmless -->
<!-- Both have now been given quests to complete -->
<!-- Before the end of the year -->
<!-- They toil in the shadows, unseen and unheard -->
<!-- Only when it is all over, will the rest understand -->
<!-- Ensign, what are you reading? -->
<!-- Nothing sir! Just some fan fiction... -->
<!-- Anything on our ultra-long-distance sensors? -->
<!-- Nothing yet, sir. I do hope we are able to initiate our own countdown timer sequence, we haven't had one in awhile. -->
<!-- Do you think they are aware of our plans? -->
<!-- I doubt anyone is listening in on our conversations, sir. -->
<!-- I see. I'll be in my room watching ancient broadcasts, notify me the moment we hear anything. -->
<!-- Yes sir. -->
<!-- Now loading: 2007 -->
<!-- Sir, sorry to interrupt... remember that dying nebula? -->
I'm not entirely sure what the “tale of two lords” reference is to. Interesting that they mention fanfiction, because the only Google result I got on “a tale of two lords” was an NC-17 slash Lord of the Rings fanfic. Glorfindel/Erestor, if you're curious. Hmm...

1) I have a significant feeling that this omgitscoming site that people have known about for a while is somehow related to Bandai. Countdown is in Pacific time. I know we can't conclude anything from that, but the only west coast licensing companies that I know of are Bandai and Viz
2) "A tale of two lords" - perhaps a reference to two different shows?
3) "I do hope we are able to initiate our own countdown timer sequence" - if the omgitscoming counter is indeed Bandai related, could this be considered a coincidence, saying they want "their own" countdown?
Several people have already suggested that the omgitscoming announcement could be for Kannagi, given that the Kannagi fan site appears to be making an announcement on Thursday as well. Also, if it's Kannagi, the phrase "OMG" would be somewhat appropriate.
Now, could Haruhi and Kannagi - considering that they're both essentially gods - be considered as "two lords"?
(Seriously though i hope its true)

As the originator of the theory, I'm really hoping it to be true. =3
