Haruhi Dancing Wii Game is Out

Wii game out. Sequel still unheard of.

So, I guess, like, this Wii game-- Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou --that we'll probably never see released here in North America is supposed to be the closest we'll get to any kind of Haruhi anime sequel for the near future. And honestly, it doesn't look all that horrible-- the dancing merely propels the story, and you do get to dance to songs other than “Hare Hare Yukai.”

That said, I'm not too impressed with the exclusive figure that came with the game. It looks to me like they're banking on ponytail!Haruhi being a big draw-- and admittedly, she is –but I don't like the way the clothes are sculpted at all, and although I give kudos for trying to do a cute tongue-sticking-out face, I don't think it turned out that great. (Her tongue is awfully...square-ish.)

How about you? Would you spend about $75 plus shipping from Japan on this?

No. I wouldn't.... and I don't even feel too bad about it.
The figure sculpt was a nice idea, but the final product didn't turn out all that well.

I was going to say i wouldn't because i'm not into dancing games, but damn it looks tempting.

oh my.. probably more fun then most of the wii crap that comes out if not just due to the association
OkazukiIchigoon Jan. 21, 2009 at 8:57 p.m.
But is there any other songs sung by the anime seiyuus? Because from that video, I didn't recognize that voice.

This game kinda reminds me of Samba de Amigo but I just hope its better.
RedRoseson Jan. 21, 2009 at 10:57 p.m.
... that looked so boring to play. As Okazuki said, it's like Samba de Amigo but with one less controller.
And Samba de Amigo was pretty fun, at least for couple minutes until it got repetitive and ehh...

The dancing was kinda cute. I wouldn't import this though.
