Harry Potter vs. Naruto -- Better Wizards or Ninjas?

It's the question that inevitably had to be asked. Which shonen-style series did it better?

Ninjas are wizards that can fight. Is there really a debate here?

Doesn't seem unreasonable. In NARUTO, the jutsu are, by all account, essentially just magic.

There are regular people in the world of NARUTO. It's just that the creator failed to really involve them in any significant way after a certain point. Not unlike HARRY POTTER.

I actually mentioned in my review of NARUTO Ch. 670 that the series has some rather remarkable similarities to STAR WARS.

Harry potter by far - as it actually had a story that didn't go on forever and get ridiculous (though the ending was bad it wasn't nearly as bad as Naruto) as who would "win" in a fight ... um who cares? The quality of the shows is what matter.

Tough question… Naruto characters can fight and use a bunch of methods that Harry Potter wizards can't, but most of that stems from chakra. The wizards don't use it and never seem to run out. If it came down to a battle where they were outlasting each other… Harry Potter has a 41% chance of winning(b/c of people like Naruto, Obito, and Kakashi)

how.....doesharry potter and naruto exactly cross franchises?

like, at all?

I can't have watched all Harry Potter movies, but jutsu seems to be a more...flexible art.

No secret ingredients, no potions, no magical items, not wands, only make a hand signal and concentrate your "chakra", and KABOOM! in your enemy's face.

Of course, there is summon seals, but once you make a contract, you only need to make hand signals, extend your hand and KABOOM! Giant animal atacking your enemies! Well, not exactly, Naruto needed to tame Gamabunta in first place.

That without counting kekkei genkais. These ones mostly cut the hand signals part.

@zaldar:

I disagree, both have different quality to them. Naruto is focus on the spectacle and crazy characters, while Harry Potter focus on more grounded characters and it is more story focus. Naruto and Harry Potter are like apples and oranges, it hard to compared them. Naruto is a weekly episodic book, while Harry Potter isn't. I give one thing to Naruto on having a well done episodic story, while I didn't like were the story gone, it was done fairy well and it said it message.

Anyway, I found Naruto's ninjas to be better, because they have super crazy eyes that can brain wash you by looking at you. LOL!

Also, there is normal people in Naruto. They pay the ninjas to do odd jobs and kill people
