Hard-Drinking Battle Tactician to Host News Show

I hope it comes with a "drunk" mode.

Yes, Evangelion's own Misato Katsuragi is going to host a personalized news show, according to an ad that came in the Evangelion 1.11 Blu-Ray bundle I mentioned yesterday. Kotaku mistakenly reports that it's an Eva PS3 game, which is a little off, but this is a much more creative idea anyway, in my opinion.

The actual idea is that it's a piece of software for the PS3 (available on Japan's PSN) called Katsuragi Misato Houdou Keikaku (literally just “News Project”) that makes use of a voice synthesizer that sounds like Misato, which then reads daily news to you. Considering how many English words there are being used in Japan these days, I wonder if it reads English? Probably not very well, since it's not as consistently phonetic language as Japanese.

Let's see, FUNimation has the license for Evangelion 1.0. I dunno if this is something they would actually tentatively handle a license for, but if not, FUNi, could you at least beg Gainax to give us a localized copy of this?

Pleeeeeease?

Oh. >_>
I can honestly say I'm less excited.
Neat, but Kotaku's interpretation, made a tad more excited.

Dig Deeper into Misato Katsuragi

Misato Katsuragi is the chief tactical officer at NERV's Japan Branch in Tokyo-3, and Shinji Ikari's self-appointed guardian. She's the only survivor of the Second Impact. She aims to defeat the Angels and save humanity.
