Gurren Lagann had Decepticon Cameos in it?

So, I was trying to scout the internet for smexy pictures of Lord Genome, when I noticed a fun observation about Episode 14 of Gurren Lagann. We conveniently have episode right here, but the idea is that there's something odd about the big fight scene. Namely, that in a series where robots haven enormous faces, one of those faces looks amazingly like a decepticon. Hmm, weird...

Also, in episode 6, the bathhouse episode, a cameo from Rei and Asuka (of Evangelion love) appear as one of the bath house girls. Honestly, that one is less surprising, since Eva is another Gainax title, but fun none the less. Though I will say that it makes me wonder what other sorts of things are hidden in between the scenes of this series.

i say it symbolize the most powerfull things in transformers(yes all of them) could not hold a candle to the gurren laggan

@John_Martone: In addition to Rei, Asuka and Nono, Lal'c from Diebuster is in a few scenes. Also theres a nasty old lady from Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, and Mahoro from Mahoromatic. Those are both Gainax works as well obviously :)

@Drillin_dan: Pretty good, and yes, oh yes. A couple people who have been watching the series are like "Man, I can't believe they can make mechs bigger than that" and I just nod, twitch, and drift to my happy place.

How's life on the East Coast? Make it back for classes alright?
