Gonzo just issued a press release announcing a new partnership with ’s answer to YouTube, Nico Nico Douga, and the formation of their new channel, NiGonzo Douga:
GDH From the launch of NiGONZO Doga, anime trailers of The -the Aegis of URUK-, Linebarrels of Iron, BLASSREITER, Hennako-chan, and online game trailers of PANDORA SAGA, The -the Recovery of BABYLIM-, and Master of Epic -The ResonanceAge Universe- will be made available. More content will be added later, and GDH will look into further marketing possibilities such as fee-based distribution of anime episodes through this channel.
This won’t mean very much to you guys, of course, but I wanted to note how odd it is to read something like this and think “wow, we’ve been getting these shows online for a while now.” Don’t forget to appreciate it!

The above trend may see a plateau if more companies start to adopt internet distro and rely on known names such as DLSite in order to sell to otaku that are more than willing to spend money, if the EngDLSite numbers for Taimanin Asagi are anything to go by.
