As we mentioned before, Gonzo isn’t looking so great. It recently closed it’s official online shop and there are no knew anime series currently in the works. Now Canned Dogs reports some more interesting information about the history of their steady rate of destruction.

Can you believe that Gonzo’s shares where at one time worth almost $6,600, and dropped all the way to $6 before they were delisted; ouch. Now they are even selling Black Cat vol. 7 on their closing down sale for sixteen cents each. That’s right SIXTEEN CENTS.
What caused Gonzo to fail? Bad anime, that’s what. Some anime was in fact really great, like Last Exile, Gankutsuou, and Hellsing, but the real problem is that most of these good series are just one shots, and don’t make good franchises. Then there was there other anime series that just plain sucked, made by a group of people who thought they understood what us otaku want. “More boobs, more dragons, bam Dragonaut.” In such a competitive market, they just couldn’t stand out.
The doctors are trying their best to save it, but it doesn’t look good.

In any case I don't think even six mill dollars would help Ganzo. Well it would but I don't think we have the technology or the actual money.
And I though the numbers were bad in the US.
