Gantz Live-Action Trailer Hits Japanese Morning Talk Show
More scenes emerge from the upcoming Gantz live-action adaptation. Will the gang survive for a sequel? Will Kishimoto's actress be quite so...bouncy?
With a scheduled release date of some time in 2011 the Gantz live-action movie is still quite a ways off, but in a stroke of incredible luck our AV staff members stumbled upon the above trailer footage from a Japanese morning talk/news show. What's more, after the trailer ends additional footage is shown while the show's host praters on about the actors and how popular Gantz is around the world. Speaking of casting, it's been confirmed that Kazunari Ninomiya of the boy-band Arashi will be playing the part of Kei Kurono while Kenichi Matsuyama of Death Note fame as L will take on the role of Masaru Kato.
From the looks of things the movie will adhere to at least some of the manga's storyline and dialogue, however, there were some scenes I couldn't place my finger on in the series continuity. Still, looks like a hot ticket for the patient fans of the series.

It look awesome, but they will need special effect for the boobs of half the female casting ! :p
Lots of blood, alien things, and general strange weapons. Fairly normal.
But characters die all the time. Noone is guarenteed to live.
I do hope for a little less emo though... just a touch...
Good to see it's not following the anime though. Not read the manga... I really should get around to it...
