Now, the obvious place my mind goes is an anime adaptation, but it could also be a live-action drama, a movie, or even something less exciting about drama CDs or the like. It could even be an announcement about when the manga's ending, or a spinoff, or a change of publication or something. I'm hoping, of course, for the anime!
Future Diary, published in the US by TOKYOPOP (the 5th volume was just released earlier this month), revolves around a guy who gets stuck playing a survival game, in which he and the other "players" must use their diaries to eliminate one another. Their diaries-- kept on their cell phones --have entries from the future, written as though by the diary's owners, and therefore have shortcomings in their details or perceptions.
What do you think? Do you want there to be an anime, or are you content with the manga just going on as it is? If it WERE made into an anime, is there a particular director, voice actor, or studio you'd want involved?

I dunno, what about the beginning makes you think they'll have to change anything up. Its just my opinion, but I think the introduction would surely suffice for an anime's pacing. Start as planned, and cut off with the appearance of the 3rd = solid 1st episode.

Hmm this sounds like Death Note but less predictable, I think I'll pick up the first volume or two next time I'm at Chapters/Indigo. (I wish we had more bookstore chains in Canada)

Oh yeah, and its in the kill or be killed situation. Its enjoyable to jaunt through the characters, since each has their own style, based on their personality, like the super yandere, who has diary that only writers about the main character, since she stalks him obsessively.
I meant as how the manga began with a flash-forward I think the anime will do something different.
