I made a thread about this, but I'll mention it here as well:  The dub will resume on Adult Swim with episode 27 on January 8th.

Hmm, I did like the Fort Briggs cast in the manga. I hope these guys can live up to the part. :)

@rubberluffy:
My only wish was that FUNimation had some clips of these new characters with the English voice actors. I just went with the only trailer I could find for this DVD release that was official. I hate using unofficial youtube clips in my articles.

I was rather shocked how poorly the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood profiles are filled out on Anime Vice. I went through and created profiles for:

I haven't watched [adult swim] in years. They're openly hostile to anime, and they tried to kill the Code Geass airing by putting the first run episode on at 5AM. I heard they eventually moved it to a better time, but the damage was done. There are better place to watch anime out there.

Oh, I don't watch Adult Swim either.  In fact, I think they botched this whole FMA:B thing by ending the hiatus AFTER the DVD/Bluray release, and after the episodes have hit iTunes.  I wouldn't be surprised if it hurts the amount of viewers they get.  But I do like reading the discussion threads on their forums for the FMA:B episodes, and that's the only reason I know the hiatus is ending.

Stephanie Young does a great job as Olivier Armstrong, giving off a strong and attractive women voice.

This is starting just as I finished watching this season. Ha! For once, I feel ahead of the curve.

Yes, it also helps that she does a pretty damn good job as another strong woman, Nico Robin.

except the manga and the anime's already finished so i bet most have already seen it once or twice so yeah you're still pretty low.. HA!

I also want to take this to time to say that i like the idea that Greed gets a new voice when he becomes Greed 2. Troy Baker's awesome so he fits even more then Chris Patton.

@metalsnakezero:
How is it that people know how Stephanie Young sounds as Olivier when the DVD isn't released until next week? Have they released the dubs somewhere already?

You are even further ahead in this series than I am. I haven't watched a single episode of it. Though, I have become more interested recently.

It's just hard to become interested when I know two of my favorite characters, Martel and Lust, are killed rather early in the series. I watched the original anime, and the finale was incredibly unsatisfying.

Come now, why do you have to step on his accomplishment?

I don't remember Martel, but man if you like Lust you will be upset.  She's not just killed quick, but she gets zero character development.  The samurai body armor guy who's only in like 1 episode gets like 50x the character development that she does.

@sickVisionz:
FMA - Martel
FMA - Martel
Martel was the snake chimera lady who was a part of Greed's gang. I even made a drawing of her a few years back.

I already know Lust's fate in the manga. It's just been a struggle to start watching this new series when I know many of my favorite characters die and quickly in the series.

I never did get around reading the manga series in scanlations. I'm not going to buy the manga since it's VIZ published.
