Frank West Joins Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom

He's covered wars, now he's gonna be in one!

Sorry for the fighting game spam, but this is just too good to pass up. Apparently, the next character to be revealed is Capcom's own idiot photographer, Frank West. Done honing his skills on random zombies, Dead Rising's Frank West brings the war to Ryu and friends.

What makes this so novel is that Frank is not a silly character, he just has the capability to do funny things. That said, Tatsunoko is taking all the wacky things the player "could" do (putting hats on people/shopping carts at people/turning into Mega Man) and incorporating them into what makes him work. No matter what you think of the game, or Frank "I've covered wars and hate terrorists" West, he looks like a fun addition to the game.

Why is Devil May Cry's Dante never in a Capcom vs. game? He'd be an awesome fighting game character.

Frank West does look pretty cool all being said, I laughed when he threw the zombie like a projectile. "I'm gettin' outta here!"

I agree with you. There are rumors that Zero (from Megaman X) is going to be in the new release of the game. They should just replace Zero with Dante in my opinion.

Besides the fact that this game is on a console I don't own...I'm starting to dislike it even more for the roster.Both parties have a crapload of good characters and it seems after they got the more popular ones out of the way,Ryu and Chun-Li and Jun and Ken and Casshern and Tekkaman after that the roster is a toss up.It's like they put names in a lottery machine and which ever name popped up they took it.Why the f#ck would I want to be Frank West or eve, the Megaman from Legends? Terrible choices.Where is Dante? Do you have any idea how long Capcom fans have been looking for Dante in a fighting game crossover? I'm a huge Capcom fan.They can do better than this.

Well, we got him in Viewtiful Joe and Shin Megami Tensei III. That's kinda cool, right?

@John_Martone: Yeah in the context of those games they were pretty cool appearances, personally I'm not a fan of such an action oriented character appearing in RPGs but his Viewtiful Joe self was spot on. But I'd take seeing him swat away a Hadoken any day.

Who want's to use Dante in an Action\Adventure setting which he was already in or an RPG? Fighting game makes more sense for a jump because his game has that whole combo element.Dante should have made fighting game before Viewtiful Joe.I can't see why Joe is in this..because of the whole Henshin thing but Dante needs to be in a fighter ASAP.

Its not that I don't agree with you, but I assume since DMC has continued on, and they seem to like Emo McGauntlet dude... sooooo.... be careful. Knowing the way irony works, you'll probably get Nero in a fighting game... ^_^

@TheManWithSevenScars: I disagree, sure frank doesn't really have any special abilities, nore is there a reason aside from Frank being awesome... ok maybe you where right about frank, but Megaman legends has to one of the best Megaman games ever made.
