The game may not have sold as well as Sony would like, but that doesn't mean we aren't sitting here anticipating the anime adaptation. Anime adaptation of the popular Japanese tactical RPG that takes place in Europa, an alternate WWII-era version of Europe. The story follows a Gallian militia squad, led by Welkin Gunther, during the invasion of their home country, Gallia.

BTW Valkyria Chronicles is a Sega IP, it was releases only on the PS3.
Now all I want to know if Aika and Vyse will show up in the anime.
I like how Alicia looks almost more moe, but I don't like what they did to Faldio. He looked like "the cool guy" in the game, but in this he looks like bishie trash... At least Welkin looks pretty much the same.

That being said, I can't see this anime being anything more than "meh" at best. I'll still watch all of it in hopes that this series goes on to prove my prediction wrong.
@hazelnutman: The reason I have a little higher expectations is because of the fact that the game had a very well done plot with a fair amount of action and drama that was laid out well. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint...
That's only because I want my "first blush" of Valkyria Chronicles' story to be from playing the game. By the time I get to see the anime, [R1-Distributor-To-Be-Named-Later] will have already released a complete series set.
What can I say? I'm patient, if anything.
