Final Fantasy XIII Chocobo are Easily over 10 Feet Tall

Chocobos are pretty much a no win situation. As one of those things that appears in every Final Fantasy game (and most of their offshoots,) they have to be made, but we don't have to like them. Apparently Final Fantasy XIII decided that the Chocobos of late were too adorable, and not large enough to rampage through a small village, so... viola!

Welcome to the hulking monstrosity formally known as adorable. I mean, if we're talking about things that belong in a deep fryer, they look great, but are nowhere near adorable enough to capture my heart. I mean, come on, would you prefer those things, or something this adorable.

Pets that are more than double your size just don't strike me as a good idea. Two words... Giant Poop.

December 17th. Though the rumor mill is that there is some sort of important announcement (English version) this friday

Also, I bought Lan one of those Chocobos a while back. It was the one from Chocobo Tales, with the book.

Anyways, from what i saw of previews i'm getting a bad impression from the game. It's gameplay looks very similar to 12, witch isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it means one of the things i liked about the franchise will be thrown out, and that's just how different each game felt from four up.
