One day Square will get desperate enough to cash that blank check and make a next gen FFVII remake, but for now you'll just have to settle for a not so next-gen version.
Titled, "What if Final Fantasy VII was made10 years ago," Martin Barreby took us on a painful journey down poor pixel avenue. While I can't say its a game i would be rushing out to buy, I have to admit that I really, really dig the soundtrack. Though I should note that you can actually grab all of these 8-bit covers and more over at his personal site.
