Fate/Extra! Dungeon Crawling RPG for the PSP?

But will you become someone's master, or servant?

Fans of the Fate/Stay Night line can look forward to another series pushing adaptation. It seems like the PSP will be seeing some more love, as Marvelous Entertainment will be making some sort of RPG focused, dungeon crawler out of the line. Going by the name Fate/Extra, the player seems to controls a generic boy or girl, and travels through the mythos of the Fate universe. Other than that and these screens Canned Dogs uploaded, not much is currently known.

I hope this game is better then the fighter that got released on the PSP store.

you can pick your own servant so far a generic saber and lancer has been shown

@JJOR64: I dunno, I liked some aspects of the Fate/Unlimited Codes. It was a bit more of a technical fighter and less of a high speed pew pew fighter, but I totally get why some people would eat it up. Granted I only have eyes for BlazBlue at the moment.

@John_Martone: It did look interesting but, just looked generic I guess. I think I will stick with Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max on my PSP.

All I know is I abhor the way they drew Rin.... she looks like she was ripped out of some horribly drawn crappy shoujo manga...

I'm really curious how this is going to work out since you can pick a male or female character and with Nasu's writing style that would usually mean an entirely different story depending on which you pick. I do like the fact that Rin and Lancer are a Master/Servant pair though... that's gonna be pretty amusing.

I know this doesn't mean much coming from a fanboy like me, but I think some of the unique mechanics with it deserve at least a little merit. In that regard it wasn't just a copy paste fighter like Soul Calibur has been. And at the very least you have to admit, it was adapted to the PSP far better than any of the Guilty Gear games so far... (trying to do a 632146+hs on the psp's nub is a total pain in the rear). I haven't played SF3 on it so I don't know how it stacks up though.

2 think:

1. Check Rin boots, there look sweet

2. I think it just me, but it look like a Persona game but with a Fate/Stay Night skin on top of it. I now that it be more of a traditional JRPG. Then I know that most of you want to have the Persona formal used in this game so then screw all then dungeon stuff and just hand out with Rin.

look, it's red,saber is never potrayed as red and lancer is potrayed differently, his costume has subtle differences less obvious than saber though, and the contract photo is different than the anime and game's saber, it maybe the same king arturia but it's not the saber of fate stay night

@John_Martone: Well, you may not have noticed since you probably never saw the original, but I'll have you know her bust size has definitely increased in that image as well. In any case, I didn't originally notice either of those till I saw a super high resolution version of the same image on the type moon imageboard where it was a lot harder to not notice.
