Check out this awesome find from Japanator: apparently a group of fans in France (or perhaps Belgium? I'm not well-versed enough to be able to tell) held a funeral for Dragon Ball's Goku, who fell victim to the oldest curse of them all: mainstream marketing.
Actually, the “demise” is being attributed to both Hollywood and to Justin Chatwin himself, although it seems to me that if a character is beloved enough to hold a funeral for, he's not really “dead.” (Besides, spoiler alert! Goku doesn't die in the movie.)
It's still a pretty awesome idea, though, and the video is fun to watch with its soundtrack of Gary Jules' version of “Mad World” (from the Donnie Darko soundtrack). Check it out, and then tell me whether you'd attend such a funeral...and what you would wear to it.

I would wear a black and white version Goku's OutfitXD
his death will not be in vain
Which in French means Our Hero.
The title is says Hommage à la plus grande des Heros.
Which in English means Tribute to the Greatest of Heroes.
Quick translation of what they say at the beginning in case of :
Guy holding the picture: "It's the Fox that killed him, not Cell but the Fox"
Off-screen voice: "Him and many others"
Guy holding the picture: "Never again, never again. For One Piece, Naruto and the others, never again. Please"
I think that fox would be a little insultet if they saw this...XD
Rest in peace?
and we all stand and salutee ~
Oh wait, he's been revived a million godamn times already....
No need to worry then ^_^
If I were to attend such a funeral, I would wear my Archer costume (actually if you research some of the pieces of his outfit, it's technically clothing that knights would wear over their armor to their Lord's funeral), to show that even heroes of other timelines wish to pay their respects too.
Too bad....
I can't imagine that there are doing funeral for a comic character...
Anyway i like the dragon ball spirit of them...
