Greetings all, I'm pleased to bring to you some great news. After the fun of our previous joint session ofAnime Vice and Screened to watch the amazing film Summer Wars. Moderator FinalDasa and I have gotten together to plan another anime movie screening. This time we have a little more notice for those that would like to join in. The film we selected will be Evangelion 1.11, and the screening will be held on January 21, 2012. We will meet up at the Screen4ed Chat Room (http://www.screened.com/chat/) at 4PM PST (7PM EST). I'll be there, and I hope to see some Anime Vice users join in on the fun and chat.

For those who are wondering about the availability of the movie. Evangelion 1.11 is on Netflix's physical media but no streaming option. Be sure to get your requests in soon. If you're looking to buy. I'm adding some online retailer information.

Amazon.com

  • Eva 1.11 BD ($19.99USD)
  • Eva 1.11 DVD ($14.99USD)

Rightstuf.com

Are you going to join us for the Screening Room? Also, feel free to suggest any anime films you'd like us to consider for another screening in the future.

Can't wait for this! Any word on when 3.33 "Q" will be coming out?

The 3.0 movie itself isn't even out yet.  We'll be waiting awhile for the 3.33 BD version.

Damn. I wish I could join in but I work weekends now so I prob won't even get to join in.

@Mr4eyes86:

It is coming out in Japan this Fall/Winter. I believe the US won't get it subbed until Spring 2013 and dubbed that Winter.

I'd suggest Afro Samurai: Resurrection (or the original) for a future Screening Room viewing. The plot is paper-thin but the soundtrack and fight scenes are amazing.
