Eden of the East's Holy Trinity to be Guests at Expo

Do want... to shake their hands

Everyone likes Eden of the East, right? If you don't, read this.

The show opens to a young, naked amnesiac in Washington, DC. He wakes up in front of the White House, holding a gun in one hand and a cell phone in the other. Saki Morimi is a Japanese student on a graduation trip who catches him in front of the White House. After the boy escaping the DC Police, he assumes the identity of Akira Takizawa, and tries to unravel his identity, and what brought him to that moment.

What surprised me was to find out that we're not the only one's excited for the upcoming US premiere. Apparently, creator and director Kenji Kamiyama, animation director Satoru Nakamura, and producer Tomohiko Ishii are coming as guests of honor to this year's Anime Expo. On top of being the premiere of the dub, the three will undoubtedly be available for questioning, as well as the offering of sacrificial gifts. Okay, so maybe holy trinity is a bit much, but their pedigree is pretty strong. Check out the press release for more details, but we're talking the director of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and the animation director of Gurren Lagann... just to give examples.

Anyway, we'll be on hand at Expo this year, so hopefully we'll get to sit down with the team and shower them with the love and affection they deserve.

Oh man...this show I must add to my watch list. It would be so random to suddenly appear in front of the White House naked while possessing only a gun and cell-phone.
