In a recent interview, Yoshida revealed that in the midst of everyone else restructuring and cutting back, Toranoana's strategy is to keep on growing. They're planning on new stores in Akihabara, and they're also turning their attentions outside of Akihabara-- possibly even the foreign market. That's, y'know, us.
Now, given that doujinshi usually retail for about ¥500-1000 (about $5.50 to $11 USD) in Japan, and imported copies in the States usually run $15-20, I would love to see a bit more competition to drive those prices down a bit. So...go, Toranoana, go!
