Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya: The Movie!

The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya finally gets an anime form?

I heard a bit about this as a possibility yesterday, only to have my hopes dashed as the scan from Newtype turned out to be related to the novel of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, rather than a movie adaptation...but now it's turned out to be true, as 2nn links to a 2ch thread that links to images that are supposed to be from the preview for episode 28 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

The images indicate that in the spring 2010, a movie with the story of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya-- an arc that many prayed would be in the new second season of the TV series, only to have their hopes dashed in the form of eight nearly-identical episodes known as "Endless Eight" --will be released.
Okay kids, now that Disappearance may finally be upon us, are you willing to forgive and forget and buy the film (assuming it comes out in the US, of course), or have you given up on the Haruhi fandom entirely? Anyone care to comment?
The scan from Newtype from Moetron's Twitter that led to yesterday's speculation.

EDIT: I'm such a dork. I'm already building a The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya gallery with the above images, plus some of the ones that were released back when Disappearance was supposed to be the focus of the second season...

EDIT #2: For the non-believers...

Burn in hell Haruhi.

Though, if Bandai does the smart thing if/when they bring over season 2 and either sell E8 for the price of 2 episodes or just skip bringing it over all together, then I'll cut her slack.

Seriously though, 2010 looks like the year of "anime movies that could potentially be frigging awesome or tick a lot of people off and suck hard".

I'd give it a chance. I still haven't watched any of season two, but I could easily do a movie.

This makes me laugh since I started watching the anime series last night.  I would have been cool if this wasn't a movie but, I will still probably watch it when it comes out.

I'm happy this is going to be a movie and look forward to it.

Oh, and fuck Haruhi season 2 it's shit thanks to E8. It only had a few good moments in the entire season.

I'm excited, but I wish I didn't feel like an idiot for still caring about this franchise.

HELL TO THE YES!

People is overreacting way too much with E8, sure it was tedious but the five episodes after it (and now this announcement) more than make up for it.

<3 me some Haruhi.

More Haruhi? Sign me up!

I'm still a bit bitter about KyoAni's trolling though.
