If you're one of the eight people on this planet who watch MTV2, congratulations! You knew that this week was MTV2's “Otaku Week.”
For the rest of us, um...it's MTV2's “Otaku Week.” Yay!(?) Apparently the method of celebration is to post videos from Otakon 2008, never mind that it was nearly six months ago. So far we have a video of kids playing what appears to be Yu-Gi-Oh! (does “Toon Goblin Attack Force” mean anything to you?), and another video of a Link cosplayer.
Well, it's lulz-worthy, but probably not the way MTV2 meant it all to be....
MTV always capitalizes on reality shows now... the only reason they have videos like the one above is to make fun of people who are deemed as "losers." It's like those episodes of... uhh... I think it's called something like "Made" or whatever where there was one episode with this huge naruto fan who wanted to be a rock star. There was another episode that had a cosplayer who wanted to be prom queen or something.
Why would I know this? Forums I go on had links to the episodes of course. I don't watch MTV ever unless linked to something that many interest me. Those episodes I mentioned? Boring drabble that makes your brain fart.
Oh, MTV sucks.

You should also watch Yu-Gi-Oh! the abridged series @ yugiohabridged.com. Your interest in yugioh should not be a factor in your enjoyment of that series.
