The series is described as being Tarzan with “a fun shoujo manga spin,” featuring a girl named Chino who is forced to deal with the jungle boy that her father brings home from an adventure. The first volume of the series is due out in January 2010, and it sounds pretty cute-- I never got around to reading Kitchen Princess myself, but I know a lot of people who really enjoy it, so I'll probably give this slightly older (2003) Ando work a shot.
Also announced is the acquisition of Samurai Deeper Kyo volumes 35 and 36-- I'm not entirely sure why this is an “acquisition” since they released volume 35 in May, but Del Rey says they'll be printing both volumes 35 and 36 as a special omnibus edition due out in December 2009.
I've never read Samurai Deeper Kyo; knowing it'll be 36 volumes makes it sound a little daunting. Should I check it out?
