Well, okay, maybe not eternity, but it sounds like you can definitely play for a good long time without wearing out what your girl does. In addition to recording vast numbers of patterns for interaction-- the girls can address the player by almost any Japanese name, or various honorifics like goshujin-sama (master) or anata (commonly used by wives to address their husbands).
The girls adapt to what the player likes, and there's even an interesting-sounding system where you study with the girl and then take a “test”-- with questions prepared by game makers who apparently at one point had interest in becoming teachers. You can also talk to her via the DS microphone.
I'm not really into dating sims
generally speaking but this all sounds really impressive. It's a
little bit like one of those Petz animal simulators but for a human.
If it's not too expensive, I might be interested in importing it and
pretending that I actually can speak enough Japanese to try it out. In the meantime...well, if it's going to be a huge game, odds are good it'll get an anime adaptation eventually, too.
So far there's no release date or price on the game, but what do you guys think? If a game like this came out in English would you try it out?
Odds of this being localized is pretty close to nil, though. How would they do that anyways?
