Dark Horse Wants YOU! To Make Eva Art

So I can send in all of my dirty letters that I wrote to Misato when I first watched Evangelion?! Sweet!

Those of you who actually sat through the entirety (or most of) the Dark Horse panel videos from Fanime Con will already know about this, but Deb just reminded me of it over at manga.about.com, and I realized that a lot of you wouldn't have watched the videos and therefore wouldn't know about it.

So, information! Dark Horse plans to put North American fans' fanart for Evangelion in the upcoming releases of Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Raising Project, an AU manga based on a dating sim game taking place in a world where Shinji, Rei, and Asuka are all classmates studying with their teacher Misato...until little tidbits from the original Evangelion world start seeping in. Like the EVA units themselves.

For those less artistically inclined (like myself), they're also accepting letters, and all you have to do is submit them to evangelion@darkhorse.com. And maybe you'll get to see them in print!

Deb also notes that there's a preview of the manga up at Dark Horse's website, which you can check out here. Enjoy!

Ohh, don't make me go through all my old sketchbooks. The art I could send them would probably get me arrested.

No fair that preview was just too short but it badly made me want to buy it, so I will as soon as it comes out!

@Void_Wizard: Therein lies its success. Ahh, marketing.

Hm, not an Eva fan, but I need to get stuff in print... XD
