My description:
Shinji Ikari’s parents are gone, and he lives with his legal guardian, Ryoji Kaji, while attending the private NERV Academy. But no one ever told Shinji about its secrets . . . or that he’d find his fellow students Kaworu, Rei, and Asuka out on the streets late at night—fighting with sword, spear, and whip against an enemy that looks very human, but who Kaworu insists are beings called the Angels . . .
But really, what about that doesn't sound fun? Evangelion: Campus Apocalypse is a four volume release, and Dark Horse expects to ship the first volume August 2010. Granted, I may be an alternate reality junkie, but is anyone else excited for this one?
Taking place at NERV Foundation Academy, Shinji stumbles into a struggle for the fate of humanity. Angels are beings after these "cores," and humans can use the cores to manifest their Evas. For instance, Shinji's Eva takes the form of a gun. Expect more person to person pew pew, and very little giant robot. Oh, and expect plenty of romantic subplots, as the characters attempt to balance their school life with their private attempts to save the world. Oh, and... headmaster Gendo?!?!

What I really do seriously enjoy is the Gunsmith Cats Revised Edition that Dark Horse publishes. If you like guns. That's the series you read. It is heavy on the gun tech.
Please excuse my ignorance... what's "shojo"?
AV has no page on it...
Short answer: *checks* We do, but there are like, 4 different ways to spell it, and you can't use alias' on concepts, apparently.
Longer answer: shojo is basically "works aimed at the young female" in the same way the shonen are "works aimed at the young male crowd." (The spellings are varied in the same way shonen's are, but our database doesn't use the one from the magazine Shojo Beat (romantic counterpart of Shonen Jump)
Also, edited the article above to include that link
Thanks John!
If it's like the last two Persona games than you are going to find out that someone kind of inconspicuous but a little bit shady like Gendo turns out to be the sub bad guy and is actually controlled by the real bad guy that is some kind of powerful deity that wants to destroy the world for some reason.
Also the mention of a Persona like plot just makes me want Atlus to officially announce P5 since they already have hinted that it's in the works in a Famitsu article last summer. Maybe they'll make an announcement at TGS or E3 this year. Also Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey comes out next week for the DS. Now when to find time to play it between Sands of Destruction and Pokemon Soul Silver. (and Heart Gold eventually)
Too bad it got cancelled and had a forced ending.
Ahh, well, it was Monthly Asuka, which is a pretty much solid Shojo rag. Though its disappointing that it got canceled/had a forced ending, I hadn't heard that...
