Crunchyroll "Steals" Phantom Thief Reinya

It actually looks ridiculously cute.

FYI, that was just a way to flavor the title-- Crunchyroll hasn't stolen anything. But they ARE streaming the adorable-looking comedy Phantom Thief Reinya, an anime inspired by Reina Tanaka, a current member of Morning Musume. Tanaka-- who has past seiyuu experience as the titular Kirara in Onegai My Melody Kirara --is also voicing hter animated self.

Currently three episodes are available for the show (though I can't stream them-- yet?), and additional episodes will launch every Friday a 8:50am PST. As you might expect, the show (which is surely aimed at kids) consists of a series of shorts. But those same things are true of Chi's Sweet Home, and I dare you to say anything bad about that show!

Unfortunately, it looks like there's a problem with the audio on the first episode, so my First Date review may be a tad delayed-- we shall see!

Too adorable looking... Do not want, cavities.

Dig Deeper into CrunchyRoll

Originally created as something of a specialty YouTube for anime and other Japanese media and consisting primarily of illicit fansubs, in 2008 CrunchyRoll established deals to legally distribute some popular anime series simultaneous to their Japanese airing. In 2009 they will remove all fan-submitted content.
