Crunchyroll Rolls with Hanasakeru Seishounen

Crunchyroll picks up a recent shoujo series: Hanasakeru Seishounen.

Have you been feeling a lack of pretty boys competing over a girl in your life? No? well, maybe you just don' know it yet. Crunchyroll has picked up Hanasakeru Seishounen, which you may remember from our spring preview.

The show, animated by Studio Pierrot and directed by Chiaki Kon (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Shounen Onmyouji), revolves around a beautiful heiress whose father challenges her to select a husband from four bishies.

Currently the first episode is online, and for you premium members, the latest episode-- #16 --is also up. I'm not sure yet what countries it's available in, since the press release doesn't specify, so if you guys want to help out by noting in the comments whether you can get to it, that's much appreciated. The videos are here!

Expect a review sometime this week!

WHOOHOO!  I've really been enjoying this series, and I have a CR membership so now I can get it up to date!  *dances around*    This is actually more a story about political and family ties than romantic series.  The marriage thing is just a setup, and romance isn't the point.  Besides, the heroine is only 14 (though the way she's animated she seems 18, especially the situations she's in).  Anyway, I'm really happy about this. ^__^  (I'm in the US, so not a problem for me to see.)

I was a bit shocked when I saw Crunchyroll not streaming this anime, but now they are and I'm super happy about it. :3

The problem is that with CR picking up  Hanasakeru Seishounen, there will be no subs for Ep 13, 14 and 15.  CR starts at 16 and is back filling starting from Ep 1.

CR's translations leaves ALOT to be desired. Sadly, we will have to wait until CR gets to ep13 to begin once again on this series. I wish some fansub group in the world would fill the gap.

Dig Deeper into Crunchyroll

Originally created as something of a specialty YouTube for anime and other Japanese media and consisting primarily of illicit fansubs, in 2008 CrunchyRoll established deals to legally distribute some popular anime series simultaneous to their Japanese airing.
